New Genesis G70 Revealed To Take On BMW 3-Series

New pictures of the 2018 Genesis G70 have surfaced online ahead of the car's official unveiling later today.

Taken from a soon to be released promotional video, the images show the sedan will have a sporty front fascia with large air intakes and a prominent grille that is flanked by slender headlights. The dynamic styling continues further back as the car has front fender vents, aerodynamic side skirts, and a muscular shoulder line.

The rear looks pretty appealing too as the G70 has an integrated trunk spoiler and a sporty dual exhaust system. We can also see stylish taillights and a dark lower rear fascia.

Set to compete with the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class, the G70 will ride on the same rear-wheel platform that underpins the Kia Stinger. However, officials have already confirmed the model will be shorter and lighter than its corporate counterpart and this should help to give the G70 a performance edge.

Engine options are expected to be shared between the two models and the images confirm this particular car has a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine. It produces 365 hp (272 kW) and 376 lb-ft (494 Nm) of torque in the Stinger. The engine should be joined by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 255 hp (190 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. Both engines will be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

Saleen has unveiled the 2018 S1 sports coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Set to be launched next summer, the S1 features a stylish carbon fiber body that is bound to draw attention. The front of the car is dominated by a protruding nose which is flanked by large air intakes and distinctive LED headlights. The unique styling continues at the rear as the S1 has a prominent spoiler and a stylish LED brake light strip. Both components reside above a center-mounted dual exhaust system and an aggressive diffuser.

Saleen only released a few photos of the interior but we can see the cabin will have two-tone upholstery and a three-spoke steering wheel. Other highlights include a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 450 hp (336 kW) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque.
